Churches teamed with Choose Healthy Life program to get residents tested and vaccinated
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka on Friday acknowledged a church-based program for its assistance in the fight against COVID-19. The Choose Healthy Life program teamed up with local churches to get Black residents tested and vaccinated against the disease. Newark was one of five cities selected for the program, which now includes 120 churches across 13 states as well as in Washington, D.C.
