It took almost a year and a half

It took months of political wrangling but New Jersey is set to swear in two new associate judges to the high court. The full state Senate Monday confirmed both Rachel Wainer Apter — a Democrat nominated by Gov. Phil Murphy roughly 19 months ago and Republican judge Douglas Fasciale. Filling seats on a depleted court that spent most of the year with an unprecedented three vacancies on the bench.
