What we have here is a eight-unit boutique condo, and you'll see a lot more of these coming up in the area rather than the big massive buildings that used to come about.
JEN: You know, we are on a bustling area of Rhode Island Avenue, but it's really green and quiet back here.
RICARDO: Yeah.
MELANIE: It's so private, so secluded.
It's very peaceful back here.
RICARDO: And I have to say, I'm a big fan of new construction and this looks brand new.
MELANIE: This is brand spanking new, just this year.
There's a keyless entry, and you also have some bike racks for your convenience, and it's pet-friendly, so you can bring all your furry friends with you.
JEN: Let's bring all of our furry friends next time.
RICARDO: Hey, say less.
MELANIE: All right, well please go inside and let me know what you think.
JEN: We'll see you afterwards for the game.
MELANIE: See you then.
RICARDO: Hey.
JEN: Ooh, nice and bright.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: I really like the living space, certainly room for a TV, have your couch, have your furry friends on your lap.
RICARDO: Yeah, look at this window here, lets in a lot of light.
JEN: And I think that these light laminate floors really help keep it bright.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: Let's take a peek at this kitchen.
RICARDO: Yeah.
I love the appliances.
They all look fresh and new.
JEN: I like the hardware, matching not only the faucet, but really tying in these quartz countertops.
RICARDO: Yeah, and the backsplash also keeps the space bright and open.
JEN: Yeah, it's got a little ripple to it, which makes it a little different.
RICARDO: It's fun.
JEN: Yeah, let's see what else we got.
RICARDO: Okay.
JEN: Oh, this is a big bathroom.
RICARDO: Oh, this is a nice size.
It's also very bright in here.
I love the counter here.
It's similar to the counter in the kitchen.
JEN: And they also conveyed the black hardware.
I really love it in the shower as well.
RICARDO: Yeah, it's a great contrast to the tile work.
JEN: Doesn't have the ripple in here, but I think I like it.
Nice size bedroom.
RICARDO: Yeah, nice big window in here.
JEN: Yeah, and a lot of storage in this double door closet.
This unit has a lot of storage so far.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: All right.
RICARDO: Let's keep going.
JEN: Okay, look at all the light, and while you don't have a ton of outdoor space access, this almost makes it feel like you do.
RICARDO: Yeah, I love a Juliet balcony.
JEN: Yeah.
RICARDO: Let in a fresh breeze.
A sliding door, which keeps a door from invading the space.
JEN: Well, I think it's about that time.
RICARDO: To find Melanie?
JEN: Yeah.
RICARDO: You ready to lose?
JEN: Game number one, am I ready to lose?
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: No, I'm feeling fresh today, but thanks for asking.
RICARDO: Then bring it.
JEN: Oh-ho!
MELANIE: Welcome back.
JEN: Thanks, Mel.
MELANIE: All right, so, what did you think about house number one?
JEN: So bright.
RICARDO: So bright.
JEN: Yeah.
RICARDO: I absolutely love the big windows, letting in all of that light.
JEN: Yeah, it really made the space feel very open, airy, just very spacious, given the square footage.
RICARDO: I love how cohesive the unit is.
You've got the floors... MELANIE: Mm-hmm.
RICARDO: That are consistent throughout.
The hardware in the kitchen and in the bathroom.
JEN: Yeah, the sinks, the shower head.
It's small details sometimes that you don't pay attention to... MELANIE: Right.
JEN: That, in the long run, really do kind of elevate a unit.
MELANIE: It does.
RICARDO: So, I'm curious, what exactly is the condo fee for the unit?
MELANIE: It is 196 a month, and that does include a utility, the water bill.
JEN: Oh.
RICARDO: Oh.
MELANIE: Yes, so, that's one bill you don't have to worry about.
RICARDO: Time for some really long showers.
MELANIE: All right!
JEN: Yeah!
So, before we get to the game, can you give us the specs on the property?
MELANIE: It's two bedrooms, one bath, 500 square feet, and it was built in 2024.
RICARDO: Jumping in with 400,000.
MELANIE: Okay.
JEN: All right.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: I'm gonna be a little more conservative and I'm gonna guess 369,000.
MELANIE: Well, the price is, drum roll... 375.
RICARDO: Oh!
MELANIE: Jen, you're the winner!
RICARDO: Congratulations, Jen.
JEN: Oh, thank you.
MELANIE: Next time, You have two chances to redeem yourself.
RICARDO: That's right.
You're going down.
JEN: All right, well, let's go down to property number two.
MELANIE: All right.
RICARDO: All right, that sounds good.
MELANIE: Let's go.
JEN: Woo-hoo!
Big winner.
