-Somebody made a 999 call at 4:30 this morning.
The fire service attended, and they suspect an accelerant was used to start the blaze.
-Where were you last night, sir?
-I had a couple of pints at that Commodore place.
Then I crashed at the flat that I'm renting.
I didn't know anything about this until I turned my phone on this morning.
They're saying it's arson.
-Who'd do a thing like that?
Aidan Hunter, Declan's father.
-How's it going?
You guys had any bother since you opened?
-The odd comment from the drivers at Port Devine Cars.
-Sour grapes.
There's plenty of taxi work to go around.
-True enough.
It's a nightmare trying to get a cab on a Saturday night.
-How long's the business been going?
-A few weeks now.
-Don't you have that airport run this morning?
-I gotta go.
My dad here can tell you anything you need to know.
-You two new in Port Devine?
-Yes and no.
I was born and bred here, but I moved up to Belfast a long time ago.
-And now you're back?
-That's right, Officer.

♪♪ [ Gulls cry ] [ Knock on door ] -Alright, alright!
This had better be important.
-Oh, don't you worry.

-He's back.
-Who is?
-Aidan Hunter is back in Port Devine.

It's got McIvor's Garage label on it, too.
-What kind of an arsonist leaves evidence lying around the scene?
♪♪ -So, you've come round to tell her that somebody you both knew 50 years ago is back in Port Devine?

-[ Laughs nervously ] -But it's no big deal?
-Absolutely not.

♪♪ -When did you find out he was back?
-Yesterday evening.
His son was in the Commodore.
-Aidan's got a son?
-Yes.
They call him Declan.
I've known for a while now that Declan has set up a business here in the town.
And that's one of the reasons why I was so edgy about you coming back here to stay.
But what I didn't know was that his dad, Aidan, is back on the scene.
What are you gonna do?
-Is it possible that Aidan was just visiting his son?
-Oh, it's possible.
-Well, then, what I'm not going to do is panic.
♪♪ [ Gulls cry ] -I want to report a vehicle on fire at Hunter's Taxis on Haw Lane.
-Is that...?
-Okay.
Can I please take your name, sir?
-Yeah, it's Mr. Burns.
-Is that Mr. Pettigrew pretending to be someone else?
-I gotta go.
-It is.
It's Barry.
♪♪ ♪♪ -Did I hear Nicole leave really, really early this morning?
-Yes.
-Uh, where to?
-Ibiza.
-Ibiza in Spain?
-Of course in Spain.
-She's gone on honeymoon.
With Marlene.

-Oh, Marlene didn't want the holiday booking to go to waste after the wedding fell through.

4:28 a.m. -This person called in a suspected arson.
Goes by the alias Mr. Burns.

I was just dropping off a fare.
It was a wee nurse on a late shift, and I saw the car ablaze.
-I knew I had to call it in.
-Why give a false name?
-You come across Aidan Hunter?
-Yeah, I met him this morning.
-Well, I know him of old.
And let's just say, the less I have to do with that guy, the better.
♪♪ -I think we've caught our arsonist.
-There's the petrol can.
-We can't see his face on the cameras.
But I managed to get the car registration.
-Did you get a match?
-It's a hire car from Belfast.
They rented it out to a Steve Parkington.
-Can you get hold of him?
-No, he's not answering his phone.
But he does have a house in the big city.
-Right, give him 30 minutes.
If he's still not picking up, get Belfast to send a squad car round, give him a wee knock.

So, what's Barry saying?
-He's got a bee in his bonnet about Declan Hunter's dad.
-Ah, to be fair to Barry, we did find out that Aidan Hunter had been in prison for 10 years for some pretty serious offenses.
-Like what?
-Violence, intimidation, protection.
-Organized crime, then.
And that's why the taxi was burnt out?
-According to Barry.
-Aidan got out of prison 35 years ago.
But Barry's convinced he's still dangerous.
-Well, I mean, it's possible, but... -Given the massive time lag, highly unlikely.

[ Gulls cry ] -Callum?
Steve Parkington, the guy who rented the car, is Stevie Parkington the footballer!
-You're joking!

-Aye!
-How do you know it's him?
-His wife was talking to the Belfast police.
She told them.
She also said that he was getting a holiday rental for a couple of days here.

-Why would a footballer torch somebody's taxi?

We have reason to believe that the petrol was used to set one of their taxis on fire.

-We've arrested a suspect.
We're still trying to work out what his motive might have been.
-Sounds intriguing.
-Do you mind telling me, Mr. Hunter, why you and your son chose Port Devine, specifically?
-Aside from the fact that I was born and bred here?
Some friends of mine stayed in the area last year, couldn't get a taxi for love nor money.
Sounded like a great business opportunity to me.
-And whose business is this?
-It's my son's.
I lent him some money to get it up and running, but it's his show.

-You want to know if someone torched my son's taxi because of my past associations.
-And did they?
-I was released from prison in 1988, and since then, I've kept my nose clean.
If anybody decided to torch my son's taxi because of my criminal past, they must have one hell of a long memory.
