The discovery of 39 migrants frozen to death in the back of a refrigerated truck outside London has shed light on how criminal gangs prey on some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Amid Europe’s refugee crisis, the problem of human trafficking has grown worse, with smugglers going to brutal lengths to turn desperate dreams into lucrative business.
